Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026 · GioBiz platform
What this policy covers This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for using GioBiz — the app, the public store links (giobiz.app/s/...), order tracking, chat, and all related services. By using GioBiz you agree to this AUP. It applies to everyone who uses the platform — business owners, managers, staff, riders, logistics operators (LO/DLO), and the customers who order through a store link — and forms part of our Terms of Service.

GioBiz is a software service operated by Henmack Integrated Technologies Ltd (RC 9537539), built for legitimate African commerce. It protects all users and keeps the platform safe and lawful.

1. You MUST

  • Provide accurate account, business, and (where required) verification information.
  • Keep your password and PIN confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Use GioBiz only for lawful commerce and operations.
  • Honour orders, deliveries, and customer commitments made through the platform.
  • Respect other users' privacy — including staff whose work chats a business owner may review, where such oversight features are provided, and only for legitimate business purposes.

2. You MUST NOT

  • Illegal goods/services: sell, advertise, or move anything prohibited under Nigerian law (drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, endangered wildlife, etc.).
  • Fraud: impersonate others, use stolen payment or identity details, run fake stores, or manipulate reviews/verification.
  • Payment fraud: pay (or attempt to pay) for any GioBiz plan or credit using a stolen, cloned, or unauthorised card, bank account, or payment instrument, or supply false payment details.
  • Chargeback abuse / friendly fraud: initiate a bank chargeback or payment dispute for a service you did receive, or as a substitute for contacting support to resolve a genuine issue.
  • Money laundering / illicit funds: use GioBiz, its payment rails, or its stores to launder money, move the proceeds of crime, or disguise the source of funds.
  • Credit / promo exploitation: game, exploit, or abuse the credit system, free allowances, trials, promotions, or referrals — including creating multiple or fake accounts to obtain free credits, or reselling credits or allowances.
  • Abuse the customer channel: send spam, scams, or unsolicited bulk messages via the WhatsApp/SMS/chat features.
  • Harm the platform: attempt to breach security, bypass tenant isolation, scrape data, overload the service, reverse-engineer, attack our webhooks or endpoints, or probe or access other businesses' data.
  • Abuse the AI assistant: use "Ask Gio" or any AI feature to attempt to extract other tenants' data, to inject or manipulate prompts to bypass controls, or to automate bulk scraping of AI output.
  • Misuse staff oversight: a business owner's read-only access to staff chats is for legitimate business oversight only — not harassment, surveillance outside the business context, or sharing of private content.
  • Upload harmful content: malware, illegal imagery, or content that infringes others' rights via product images or chat attachments.
  • Evade controls: create accounts to dodge a suspension, or use the service after being banned.

3. Verification & identity

Some roles and paid features require identity verification (NIN, Driver's Licence, CAC) via our provider. Submitting false verification data is a serious breach and may be reported to authorities.

4. Customer protection

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, prices, stock, and delivery promises. GioBiz facilitates the transaction; the business owns the customer relationship and any dispute resolution, subject to applicable consumer law.

5. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion and proportionate to the breach: warn, suspend features, suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, withhold verification, and where required report unlawful activity to Nigerian authorities. Financial/legal-hold records are retained per the Data Retention Policy even after termination.

6. Reporting abuse

Report violations, illegal stores, or security issues to support@giobiz.com (or the in-app "Report" option where available). We investigate and act.

7. Changes

We may update this AUP; material changes are notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
